This is for a large 5 qt slow cooker. Easily halve recipe for a small one. 1 bag (16 ounces) any noodle - wide egg or mastaccioli tubes are good! 1 tube (1lb) Isernio's italian chicken sausage About 1/4 cup chopped onion *or dried onion flakes 2 jars (26 ounces) spaghetti sauce *I use Newman's Sockarooni Italian seasoning *I use Trader Joe's 21 seasoning salute 1 package (3-1/2 ounces) sliced pepperoni *stack and cut in 1/2 3 cups (12 ounces) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese* 3 cups (12 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese* *I use Costco's bag of mozzarella mix, and freeze the rest! ******************************************** *Cook noodles according to package directions/drain *Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Start with thin layer of sauce at bottom and then LAYER: *noodles *sausage w/onions *pepperoni slices *sauce *seasoning - just a few shakes - you can omit this if the sausage and sauce is pre- seasoned *cheese REPEAT steps until full (try to top with sauce then cheese) Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until heated through and cheese is melted. STIR AND SERVE = YUM!! And refrigerates and reheats wonderfully. So good with buttered bread - I make "sandwiches" for the kiddo and he gobbles them up! Attachments:
