8 TB (1/2cup) unsalted butter, softened 1 cup sugar 1/2 tsp salt 1 large egg 1 tsp vanilla 2 cups flour Mix butter, sugar and salt on med speed blender Mix in egg and vanilla Add in flour on slow speed scrape onto plastic wrap and press firmly in 1" circle Refrigerate for at least :60 Roll out dough on floured surface (1/4" thick) Cut out with cookie cutters Space them apart by 1" on baking sheet (silpat is best) Chill on sheet for :30 ideally Preheat oven to 350 Bake about :15 or until golden brown Cool for :5 and then transfer to rack Attachments:
